The action of play takes place on a rocky beach on the
East coast of Scotland, in the year 1983, to which Morag (59) and Fiona (32)
have returned after 17 years.
If Fiona s meant to be 32, then presumably her
childhood Best Friend Vari is meant to be about the same age, and in fact at
the time of this production the actress playing Vari was very much about the
right age.
This production was in the main house, Louise Gold
subsequently appeared at The Colchester Mercurys studio theatre (for
one night and one night only) in Man Of La
Mancha
Judith Cound went on to work
on the stage management of Anything
Goes (stage show).
Critics Comments
"Liz Bradford, sharp and
likeable as increasingly isolated Fiona who's youthful cruelty disrupts so many
lives, is perfectly offset by Louise Gold giving a natural performance as her
childhood friend Vari." Liz Mullen, THE STAGE
