numbers down as being on the same track when in fact they are on separate
tracks. The above listing is correct (at least with regards to songs on
tracks).

Review
by Emma Shane
I
have to say that I am totally amazed, particularly by Evie’s accents. If I
hadn’t known who it was I wouldn’t even have recognised her!
Versatile
Louise Gold seems to be able to do as many different sorts of accents as
Irving Berlin could write different types of tunes! I know she’s good at
accents, but this is... Really UNBELIEVABLE !
The
English accent was done entirely without trace of any of her distinguishing
characteristics, especially when she sang Typically English. Someone
Nice Like You is a beautiful number and really is sung beautifully.
The
only reason I knew it had to be Louise Gold doing the Russian accent is
because she was singing so well in such a low key! She sang Glorious
Russian with much feeling, like as if she really meant it. The
beautifully Melinka Melchick was handled simply beautifully and
tenderly.
The
German accent, on Typiche Deutche, was another where I honestly
wouldn’t recognise Louise Gold! The creature sounded completely unlike
herself, a true mistress of vocal parody and disguise.
I
only recognised the American accent, on All American, as being Louise
Gold, because it sounded a little bit like a "cute" muppet.
Incidentally it was utterly unlike most of her other "American"
accents on Studio cast album recordings.
Critics Comments
"Few
artistes have the versatility of Louise Gold, who brings a perfect Evie and her
clones to the recording" Rexton S Bunnet, SLEEVE NOTES.
“There is the tender “Melinka Melchick”
beautifully sung by Louise Gold as Anya, the Russian incarnation of Evie. Ms
Gold also makes fine work of “Typically English”, “Glorious Russian” and
“Typisch Deutch”, three fine comic numbers” Terry Wardrope, WORDS AND
MUSIC, Issue 28, September 1997
